those are pretty cool. i dont know how he did it but if you notice it is symetrical so the first step would be to fold the shirt in half. after that i dont know what he does

My guess: First fold it in half, then locate "eye pieces", which should stay on top, stitch edges of eye pieces together, keeping all other part of monster face "inside", then tightly tie two lines across eye balls and dye it thickened black.

HA!  I have seen this shirt and tried it many times without much success.  I have managed to make a skull like face in the middle, but I don't know how he got such a vivid creature.  I used an accordion fold for the teeth and stitched it together.  I then manipulated the remainder of the loose fabric into the rest of the skull shape and allowed it to dry. (I tried it wet and it REALLY didn't work)  I didn't add the "pupils" of the monster eyes, perhaps that is just another fold or two.  This isn't how he does it, I'm sure, but it made as close as a GD Steal your face as I could get.  (which works for my clientele.)
Like I said, this wasn't perfect.  AT ALL!  But, it did have a skull appearance for some and just looked like a tie dye to others.  All a matter of interpretation...

I think the biggest mistake I made was using too much dye.  For me, dye application is one of the trickier things in general.  Let me know if you learn anything about this monster guy...I LOVE IT!
