Hi,

I just lurk here most of the time and absorb stuff.  However, I was looking at older posts and saw Mishoga's reference to the ultimate fabric painter.  When I googled it, I found a wonderful pdf of the stuff included when you buy it and lots of tips and patterns.  However,  I can't find anywhere to buy it.  The manufacturer (or importer) is USI innovations.  Their site is of no help.  Dharma doesn't have it on their website, nor Michael's.  If you know where to buy one, please let me know.  I dyed fabric all day and I'm ready for a present.

thanks
Sharon in getting cool Michigan

Thanks,  but that's a grown-up tool<g>  The other is a toy $20.00 or so which apparently works well with blue glue and paint.

Hi Sharon, I think the one that dharma is elling is the same but they lretail for a much higher price.
I know Michael's Arts and Crafts sell it.
I'm going to search it for you and see if I can find it.
I'll come back and post it if I do.
I can always see if Michael's has it here and purchase for you and ship to you too.
First let me do the search

Thanks Mishoga.  That's a nice offer.  I was in Michael's yesterday.  The lady in the art dept said that she recalled having them some time ago, but didn't have any at present and didn't think she would get some.  I googled several times and have only found the site shown below (thanks kt) and a site for what is apparently the US outfit that represents the Chinese manufacturer.  Can't remember the name at the moment, but they say that Michael's had them in the spring of 08.

I'll keep looking.  I was in an Amish restaurant in Ohio and saw a tesselated leaf quilt (each leaf fits into the next, no discrete blocks).  The spouse who is much braver than I walked over and stood above the people who were eating dinner next to the quilt and took a pic with his i-phone.  I tried for two days to draft the pattern and then found it by pure chance in a tote bag pattern on Clothilde's site.  So,  I'm making a quilt using all of the fall leaf color fabrics I've dyed over the years and I want to dress it up with some glitter, beads, paint, etc.  I went to Berkely in the 60's and don't do understated too well<g>.  Meanwhile I bought a bunch of plastic squeeze bottles with various metal tips and will try them.

Next I'm going to cut up my favorite mandala and make a Ricky Timms Harmonic Convergence quilt.

Thanks for all the input

OK, I found one so you should purchase it if that's what you want. It seems the business is no longer listed on their website.

Here's the auction listing
http://cgi.ebay.com/The-Ultimate-Fabric-Painter-Air-Powered-Decorator-NIB_W0QQitemZ220486257075QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUS_Fabric?hash=item33560149b3&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14

Let me know if you got it. Good luck and have fun with it. It takes a little practice to figure out how much pressure you need to apply

Hi Mishoga,

Thanks for the heads up.  I bought it.  We'll see how it goes.  I may need some pointers <g>

Thanks again!
