I asked about mixing soda ash and thickener at the same time yesterday - thanks for your help, guys.

TODAY my (first) question is this:

Using info from a post on Paula's site, and mixing 1/2 tsp  soda ash per 8 oz dye, is that 1/2 tsp soda ash water, or 1/2 soda ash powder?

If Paula B. says to mix 1/2 teaspoon of soda ash in 8 oz of water, she is referencing the actual soda ash powder.
And that's probably plenty of soda ash, even though in that other post I just wrote, I said maybe a little more.
It actually doesn't take a lot of soda ash to do the job.
