Thanks, Judy!

Initially, I was using the color formulas from the Tom & Martine DVD.  But I've been slowly adapting them.

For example, I've found that 1/2 of their turquoise mixture is quite enough (They use 3-1/2 tbs per 8 oz of pre-mix.)

I tried a new purple mixture in this batch.  Previously, I was using fuschia + yellow for my red, and red + turquoise for purple.  The resulting purple had a greenish edge.  This batch I used fuschia + turquoise and a bit of softened water, and the results speak for themselves.

I'll add a few more photos a bit later.

A spiral mirrored about the center line of the shirt.  A bit of a mushroom look, don't you think?

A spiral hospital scrub.  I'm trying a target market, lots of friends who work in the medical field.

Your colors are very bright!

I like the spiral scrub because the colors overlap.

As I recall, Tom & Martine mix their dyes more intensely so they can dilute it for lighter shades.  I usually use 4 tsp per 8 oz and it gives me the intensity I like.  It pays to experiment to find out what works best for you... no hard and fast rules here!

I folded the shirt in half along the centerline of the shirt, then twisted in the spiral.  But for the life of me, I can't rememeber if I twisted in direction of the fold, or away.

Your tire tracks design is my favorite. I love the way the colors mix in such a bold pattern.
