Namaste Dyers,
Do you always need to prep water with urea or can you just pre-soak garments in soda ash and dye?
Ran out of urea and was wondering
Also, with soy wax, does anyone use a wax heater for hair removal? The soy wax will wash out in hot water wash.....correct?Huh?
Thanks guys!!!

How are all you etsy people doing? How's sales?Huh Slow?Huh?
Mine are slow but just solf tow. Wondering if ya think it will pick up for the holidays

I stopped using Urea awhile ago and noticed no difference.
I do however dye in my basement and batch in a shelf style greenhouse.

Business at my ecrater store is slow...haven't had a sale since August 26th...lotsa tire kickers though.

I haven't used urea in my dye for a long time, and it has not impacted the quality any.  I wrap in plastic and batch for 24 hours when I do direct application, but most of my dyeing this past year has been LWI, which doesn't need urea.
RE: my etsy store, I have had 12 sales since I signed up in June, and 3 of those have been custom orders.  Not huge, but still not bad since my own website has only had custom orders with 1 exception, and I've had my storefront there since 2005.

I just had 3 sales this week which is good. Hopefully it will pick up for the holidays.
Just went to the studio to show the teachers my stuff and they scooped up the nicest pcs. It takes me forever to create them. Have to figure out how to reproduce on large scale.
Last Friday I dedicated the whole day to dying and did 14 pcs, but that was first process. many of the pcs needed two processes. OMG  shocked
