A couple months ago, I lucked out at Hancock Fabrics, finding THREE woven cotton tiered peasant skirts for a whopping $10 each (half-price  smiley).

I've since dyed them and listed them on my Etsy shop and now somebody wants another one for about the same price - and of course I bought the last ones from Hancock and can't find any online for a remotely comparable price.  sad (unless I order like 100 from "The Big D"... rolleyes)

Not much other options I can find online, not even from my Old Standby, Target.

Gonna try to hit some Indian Sari boutiques tonight and see what they have for what price, but if anyone else has any hints, I'm open!

BTW, one reason I dye instead of sewing is that my sewing is good enough for me and my not-fussy kids, but not so much for the public!  grin

Hi Deb,

What size do you need?

I went on a search a couple years ago. I described what I
wanted on a import website and got a response from a
supplier in India. They made some up for me, I ordered
six of each adult size. I was so pleased I had them make them in
youth sizes as well. They're 5 tiered and fully lined and they charged
me $9.00 each. Of course I had to pay for shipping as well.
(Sold them dyed for $35.00 each)

If I still have the size you need I'll send you one at my cost plus
mailing if you'd like. Just contact me in a private message.

Bumping this up as I'm out of skirts again!

I did get some of the smocked rayon ones from Dharma and liked them OK, but ironing them to get them ready to sell is a PITA.  I like the basic crinkly cotton no-iron tiered skirts, plain and simple. Dharma's got some with a little Victorian placket in the front, which I could do without, although in a pinch I could use them, but I'm on the prowl for something simpler and can't seem to find it.

Anyone have a source I can order from?

Hi Deb,

I dropped an email to the supplier I used a couple
years ago but I haven't heard back. So, I have a feeling
she's no longer a source.

I'll take an inventory today to see if I have any excesses
that I can give up. (If you'd be interested of course...)
