Jaja......
As I think about what you are describing, I think I know what you are writing about.
A way of marking two mirror image pieces of cut out garment is to use "tailor tacks". Tailor tacks are several strands of thread or embroidery thread in a needle that you stick through your mark through both lined up garment pieces and then cut between the garment pieces so they are both marked in the same place at the same time. I pretty sure that's still a standard tailoring marking technique.
I could do that with my apron pockets, for example, haha, I don't - I use the measuring tape.
