Kudos, Steve!  You've made a great start on the wiki!  I am now motivated to write instructions for my favorite variegated pattern using clamps!  Will try to build that this weekend...

Go for it Judy! It does not need to be a fancy production. As you probably can tell most of what I have posted is rough work that is continuously refined. That is the cool thing about a wiki!

Judy, that's a great tutorial you posted about the clamped fan fold...as a novice I would have loved to have seen the dyed version before you unclamped it. It's hard to wrap my brain about the folds vs. dye application directions.  shocked

Good point, Jeri.  I will try to remember to take a picture and post to the instructions.  Meanwhile, I'm also trying to work on some small videos of various patterns and will be posting to my blog, www.hippiewear.blogspot.com.  So far, I have a video on the bamboo pattern, and next will be novas.  But I'll add the clamped fold to my list of 'to-do's!

I watched your bamboo video yesterday! Love your blog! Smiley Thanks so much for going to all that effort to make tutorials -- especially videos! I know it can sometimes seem like you are just putting it out there and maybe nobody cares, but trust me when I say that you have a captive audience of at least 2. (I send my sister all the links I find).LOL

Still searching for a good Mandala video how-to. The static image tutorial about how to fold one (found here on this site) is good, but I can't enlarge the pictures enough for these old eyes to see exactly which direction the folds went when they were made.

(going to google "novas" now. LOL can you tell I'm a novice?)
